Synopsis: A small (about the size of the mouse an a typical Mac
computer) multipurpose vibrator, suitable for clit stimulation and limited
penetration possibilities.
Our Review:
Having boxes full of sex toys isn't always the dream scenario you
think. Sometimes, it can be downright drudgery and we've become so
jaded that we groan almost every time we open a box to see what
derivative this or that company has shipped us this time. A great
example of this is the standard-issue iVibe
Pocket Rocket,
from Doc Johson. A great performer that belongs in every woman's
secret drawer, the Rocket has been copied and duplicated so many
times, it's hard to tell the real thing from all the knock-offs.
Likewise the trusty
Rabbit, which now comes in every conceivable size and shape
one can imagine (and in every price range). Hence, more often than
not, we get yet another example of something we've already tried,
albeit with a minor tweak or two, and we tend to lose interest
almost immediately and ship it off to some lucky friend or
acquaintance. Either that or it finds its way to the trash can.
However,
sometimes a product will catch our eye at a show, make it's way to
our bedroom, and manage to knock our clothes off and join the
ranks of favorite things. The Layaspot vibrator, from Fun Factory,
is just such a product. First spotted at the 2005 AVN Show in Las
Vegas, we're still not sure what mad scientist is working in their
laboratories, but we've rarely been disappointed with any product
Fun Factory's produced and the Layaspot continues to
amaze us and find its way into our sexual routines. A marvel of
German engineering, the Layaspot is a small, angled, and
adjustable vibrator about the size of an Ipod Mini that operates
on two AAA batteries. The intensity of vibrations are controlled
with two buttons (a "+" and "-") that take the Layaspot from a
ridiculously low purr to a clit-blasting top setting that put Eddy
into almost the same stratosphere as the legendary
Eroscillator 2. In fact, we were tempted to put the Layaspot
in the top position of our favorites list if it weren't for the
fact that we made a random decision that NO toy that runs on
batteries may topple our current champion.
The first night
we tried the Layaspot together happened to be while experimenting
with "dirty talk," whereby we'd take turns whispering sexy and
salacious words into each other's ears to see how much we could
stand before attacking with reckless abandon. The Layaspot was
first put to use solo, before taking its place in Eddy's hand
while Freddy Jr. made his way into her hot (and very wet) nether
regions. Where this toy distinguished itself was during
penetration, where its angled design happened to fit perfectly
into her clitoral area without interfering with penetration AT
ALL. In fact, once maneuvered into position, the Layaspot needed
almost no assistance to stay in place. The controls are so simple
that Eddy could alter the speed in both directions to suit her
preference without any awkwardness or interruption in her
enjoyment. The toy was so much fun that we tried utilizing the
Layaspot in multiple positions (several iterations of missionary,
doggy-style, and Eddy on top) all with equally great effect. One
feature we've yet to try is submerging it in water, as the product
is completely sealed and submersible, but we've been continually
experimenting with it and are motivated enough to combine it with
a glass dildo and even some anal play soon.
In summation,
this is a product we feel the need to RAVE about; it's powerful,
compact, waterproof, and even LOOKS great. If we have anything
negative to say about the Layaspot, it's the high price tag;
however, we feel the quality and utility of the product more than
justifies the $42.00 outlay. The folks at Fun
Factory have delivered another wonderful product yet again and we
can't recommend it enough!
