We are currently preparing our own
review. In the meantime, here's one from
Jenne at Clitical.
Once in a blue
moon a new gadget or toy will catch my eye and beg me to review
it. The Audi-Oh just happens to be such a toy and one with
something of a twist to it. The twist comes in the fact that the
Audi-Oh vibrates to sound. Sounds too good to be true if you ask
me, but I admit I was intrigued so you just know I had to order
one.
As with most
things I was skeptical when this first arrived four days later in
a plain box. For some strange reason I envisioned the Audi-Oh as
being bigger than it actually is. I had visions of amplifiers that
rocked the roofs, which just goes to prove that watching VH1 can
be hazardous to your perspective of real life. Instead of
Aoerosmith's guitar amp. what sat inside the box was a black box,
which measured in at 3x2.5 inches, making it no heavy weight. Also
included were a small bullet vibe, a silicone butterfly sleeve
with harness, and a set of instructions that for once were in
English and not Japanese.
I read the instructions
like a good reviewer should, and they were easy to understand, which is
always a good start. These don't come with the 9-volt battery that is
required to run them, so be warned and have one ready. The one battery I
didn't have in the house was... you guessed it a 9-volt, and I admit I'm
impatient and robbed one from the smoke alarm. [It's replaced again now and
I don’t recommend that you do this, hence the warning] With the battery in
place and the wire inserted into the correct terminal, I was ready to go.
The Audi-Oh has two
settings, one is a continuous vibe and is variable speed, and the other
enables it to respond to sounds. It wasn't long before I was breathing into
the small black box and watching the bullet dance in my hand. Ohhhhhh.... I
liked this already. Of course I had to show the rest of the family and ran
into the kitchen. This was a huge hit with everyone and I admit my kids were
intrigued. I told them it was a science project and they happily spent the
next ten minutes blowing into the box and watching the bullet slither and
dance around the table.
Once I eventually pried it
out of their grasp and they were safely tucked up in bed I decided to take
the Audi-Oh for a real test run. I'm not sure if I'm stupid or not but I had
real trouble with the elastic harnesses that are supplied with many of the
remote controlled toys. They never seem to quite have enough connections and
figuring out which hole goes around which loop is not much fun either. But I
eventually figured out a way to get the harness on, and the butterfly
complete with bullet vibe in place. After feeding the cord through my skirt,
I clipped the little black box onto the waistband and I was ready to go.
So I turned her on and
walked around the room. Whooooo now this is different. Every time I moved,
my shirt would rub against the black box and in turn the vibe would work
it's magic. “Oh, yeah. I like this,” was my first reaction. So I tried
standing near the stereo and seeing what would happen. Sure enough my new
toy reacted right on cue. Now this was fun. It was like having Aerosmith's
amp attached to my waist and connected to my clit. It was my idea of heaven,
seeing as Stephen Tyler is already taken -)) The volume and duration of the
sound determined the strength of the vibe. I did discover if you want a
continuous vibe that you can do this with the first setting. Actually what I
really liked was having both settings on at once, as when a sound hit the
mic, it increased the buzz of the vibe for it's duration and made for a
little more excitement. This wasn't actually as noisy as I thought it might
have been either. It does pack a pretty powerful punch considering its size,
although not quite enough to put me over the edge. I might even be persuaded
to take this one out shopping with me.
Another way I discovered to
use the Audi-o was in the car. If I perched the black box near the stereo,
driving took on whole new dimension, as did riding home from the store -)) I
don't suggest you do this too often as it is a little distracting and it's
probably safer when someone else is driving.
The Audi-O also comes with
the option of being able to plug it directly into your personal stereo,
although you will need to buy a Y-adaptor to do this. I actually got enough
buzz out of it that I never did try this option.
Eventually I let Hubby in
on the act, partly because when I first inserted the bullet into the
butterfly I forgot to add some lube. Man, was that thing hard to get out of
there!! Eventually he managed to pry it from its cocoon and we set about
playing some games together with just the bullet. Simply having him breath
into the box was nice and extremely erotic for starters. When things heated
up and we got down to business it was fun having him talk dirty and the
bullet between us reacting to his every word. He liked this toy a lot too,
although he did want to take it apart and discover just how it worked, which
is not my idea of after play but...
What's it all add up to?
I loved the Audi-Oh. It's different, it's fun, and it’s quiet and
comfortable. Although I would like a different harness, as I prefer the only
elastic around my waist to be the ones holding my panties up, but that
really is just a personal quirk. I can see this being popular on the dance
floors in many clubs over the coming months and years. This was another of
those toys that actually lives up to the manufacturers claims and there
seems to be more of those coming onto the market thankfully.
If they can make the
Audi-oh without the need for a wire of any kind my guess is this will be one
of the hottest toys to hit the stores or at least the net this year. The
possibilities for this type of technology are endless and I'm glad that
someone has finally come up with a product that delivers. If you are used to
stronger vibes then this might not be enough for you, but it does make for a
great foreplay tool, that's for sure.
I will say that the song,
"She Bops" by Cindy Lauper should be the company’s theme tune as the Audi-Oh
gives the song a whole new dimension. Now, if you'll excuse me I have a
science experiment to carry out...
