Synopsis: A rechargeable vibrator with oscillating motion and
interchangeable tips.
Eddy's Review:
Synergy, by Sinclair Intimacy Institute is a pretty great toy.
True it does remind you of another very popular vibrator on the
market, but it does hold its’ own.
The Synergy is a vibrator with interchangeable attachments and
is rechargeable. Once you charge the main base for 8 hours, you
can take it anywhere and change the 5 different attachments which
enables you to have 7 possibilities, and have fun anywhere! The
Synergy is 7” tall in total with a rechargeable battery which
plugs from the bottom. The on and off switch is located at the
bottom, which enables the handler to change up to 6 speeds
at one’s own discretion. It comes with 5 different exchangeable
heads. The Dual Navigator, has two functions; one
to cup and
the other to massage. It has a scooped out spoon on one end
while the other is shaped like an elongated
finger. Another shape would be the Cup & Ridges, which is a
rounded scoop with little nubs on the back. Yet, another would be
the Rabbit Flutter which is a two pronged
ear shape, while the Beaded
Ball is still another shape. The G-Spot attachment completes the
group. A velvet pouch is included to store away the entire toy.
I originally tried the Synergy solo. Once comfortable in my bed, I
tried the Cup & Ridges which turns out to be my favorite attachment within
the group. I was quite pleased at the way it worked. The length and angled
shape of the wand makes it easy to handle and move around. The scooped out
spoon was great to cup my clitoris. Cupping my clit made it feel as if it
was being pulled or slightly sucked, making it really sensitive to the
touch. Turning the head around, where the nubs now rolled over my clitoris
made the sensation even more responsive. The ability to move around and not
worry about a wire made this endeavor even more pleasant. Then when using
it with Freddy, the experience turned to much more fun. Other than having
my partner roam freeing around my body with the Synergy, he was able to
switch heads on the toy to offer me different pleasures all over my body.
Overall, the Synergy is a pretty awesome toy. The only drawback I
saw was the on and off button on the bottom. It went through a range of
different vibrations before I could turn it off, which was a bit bothersome
since it took time away from being with my partner.
Freddy Says: It was only a
matter of time before another company attempted to mimic the amazing
Eroscillator and this attempt by Sinclair is a pretty good impersonation
with a few improvements we'd love to see in the Eroscillator itself. Indeed, though our king of the hill still provides the best
orgasms of any product (including the Synergy) it is, alas, a bit tired and
stodgy in the style department. I doubt its packaging has changed in over 10
years and the company continues to use Dr. Ruth as their main authority. (Is
she still alive?) When I e-mailed the company representative at Eroscillator to
inquire about offering different colors or an automobile adapter, I was told
they "aren't that kind of company," leading me into a spirited defense of
sex outside the bedroom and the need to appeal to the modern generation of
couples shaped by "Real Sex" and "Sex in the City" sensibilities. Alas, I
was rebuked and told it's
"mainly for the bedroom" and tossed off as somehow ignorant of the
Eroscillator's place above and beyond the realm of mere sex "toys."
Somehow I think that lawyers will probably be involved in deciding how much
the Synergy is like the Eroscillator rather than a willingness on the part
of the Eroscillator folks to adapt and beat back the folks at Sinclair with
a more competitive and attractive product.
The Synergy doesn't exactly oscillate, as
they claim, and it surely doesn't work as well as the Eroscillator; however,
it comes standard with 5 attachments, rechargeable batteries (which is VERY
convenient), and a nice cloth bag in which to store it. The lack of an
electrical cord comes in very handy when things take us from one room to the
next, offering no interruption to plug and unplug, especially in low light
circumstances. This also makes the Synergy great for the car, where we love
to tease each other on long trips to Vegas or wherever. The design is very attractive and the soft white power
unit and subtle green tips work well to create a sexy an alluring package.
In other words, it's nice to look at. As far as performance goes, Eddy
certainly seemed to respond well to the Synergy's well-placed
vibrations/gyrations/oscillations or whatever motion it achieves.
As Eddy mentioned earlier, the controls
are a bit clumsy and she has yet to master the speed changing, but overall
we really like the Synergy. It's priced competitively, is ready to go right
out of the box, and seems well-built for years of use. We're not quite ready
to toss our Eroscillator in favor of the Synergy, but I'd certainly be
nervous if I were over at Eroscillator watching products like this hit the
market (or at the very least be planning to improve their product line to
beat back the competition). In any case, the Synergy will certainly be
accompanying us on our next long drive, as well as whenever the use of a
cord outweighs the convenience of going without one.
