Synopsis: A metal ring worn to enhance erection and visual appeal
of the male genetalia.
Our Review: Ever
since I first tried the
Mega Stretch Pleasure Rings, I've been completely sold on
wearing a cock ring, utilizing different ones often (about a third
of the time, by my estimation). Not only do they help maintain a
hard erection by preventing the escape of blood from the penis
during prolonged love making, but they feel and look sexy as well.
Very few things turn Eddy on sexually as much as the site of my
clean shaven "love zone" neatly complimented by a ring. It just
works for her. Indeed, I'm not afraid to admit that I find it
attractive myself and a little self admiration in front of the
mirror just prior to sexual activity can do wonders for the
psyche!
All of this led
up to our annual pilgrimage to the Adult Video News show in
January 2004, where we hunted - vulture like - for interesting and
cool items to review and post on this website (yes, it's a tough
job, but SOMEONE has to do it). Tucked well in the back of the
main hall was a small booth, comprised of nothing more than a
table covered with a black cloth, showing off a collection of
gorgeous metal rings. And, though we knew their purpose
immediately, we had never considered wearing something like this
due to a misperception on our part that they could be dangerous
(when in fact they are actually safer than the silicone rings).
The company, Gear Essentials, is actually an off shoot of a metal
fabrication company which manufactures Braille (no, really!) and
saw an opportunity to introduce extremely high quality standards
to the adult market, specifically to the gay sector. Company
co-founder Mike Murphy, who along with founder Dwight, explained to us that it's quite common for gay
men to wear cock rings as they would any other piece of jewelry
and he wished to introduce this practice to the heterosexual
market. When he offered one of the rings to us, we just couldn't
resist.
The first thing
we had to do was measure for a proper fit, which is done by taking
a strip of paper a quarter inch wide and wrapping it from the base
of the shaft (where it connects to your body), down behind the
balls (under your scrotum) and back up again so that the paper
meets. You then measure the length of the paper and divide by
three, giving you the proper diameter. In my case, a quick trip to
the men's lounge confirmed the least large model would suffice (as
it will for MOST men, thank you!). The only other choice was the
finish, available in a shiny mirror or brushed metal, the latter
of which was my choice. Anxiously, I ran back to the lounge to put
it on, assured by Mr. Murphy that it could be worn comfortably for
hours without a problem.
To put it on, it
is necessary to be flaccid and you first tuck each testicle
through the ring (one at a time), then push the head of the penis
through the top, as if you're threading a needle. Holding the head
with one hand, you then pull the ring back toward you until it is
against your body, where it should feel comfortable and secure.
Make sure that your testicles are comfortably in front of the ring
and make minor adjustments until the ring feels as natural as
possible. For me, it was no problem and I was "ringed" in no time.

To say I felt
sexy wearing the Titan must be comparable to how a woman feels
wearing sexy underwear (or maybe even a nipple or clit piercing?).
No one other than myself knew it was there, but the mere fact that
I knew was, well, really COOL. Eddy didn't know I had put it on
until things heated up after the show back in our hotel room, and
she loved the way it looked as she brought things to attention in
no time. Function-wise, it worked just like the Mega Stretch
EXCEPT without the constant squeezing; wrap a rubber band tightly
around your finger and compare the results to wearing a wedding
ring and you'll see what I mean. Even after sex, I didn't want to
take it off, though when I did it was effortless to do so.
Cleaning is as simple as soap and water and the stainless steel
will retain its beauty for several lifetimes.
In
conclusion, this is a GREAT product. Gear makes five other styles,
which get progressively heavier and wider, which should address
most personal tastes. All of their rings also come in three
different sizes to accommodate virtually any size man. I've never been
one for wearing jewelry (I don't even wear a watch), but this is
one hunk of metal that now adorns my body often and with pleasure!
