And so begins the
adventure into the mind and life of someone very dear to us.
When a website
like Freddy and Eddy begins its life, it does so with very little
meaningful direction, only vaguely aware of where it's going or
how it will be perceived. Such was the case with Eddy and I as we
sought to resolve our sexual malaise after the birth of our son
through some nebulous vision of founding an adult website for
couples (as an excuse for us to experiment and explore our way
back into intimacy and fulfillment). At that time, we expected few
to no visitors, and certainly no way to make a living from it.
Instead, we plodded along trying toys on our own dime, writing
reviews which no one would read, and gradually growing together
and finding pleasures we'd never dreamt possible. And slowly,
people began to visit and follow our journey.
One of the very
first people to actually contact us was a woman in Australia, who
went by the screen name "Rain." Always upbeat and cheery, we began
regular correspondence with her and found common interests and
helpful tips in every tidbit she sent, utilizing her feedback to
improve and guide our site's direction. In fact, in our formative
years, one could say she was one of our most valuable assets and
we can't imagine realizing our site's potential without her. She's
that special and we hope she'll stick around for years to come and
continue to foster an even greater friendship.
However, this
piece is not about us, but about her own beautiful site, which
comes in "blog" form and reflects the kind of inner (and outer)
loveliness of which we've become accustomed since beginning our
association. Frank, unpredictable, and undeniably fun, Rain (who
goes by "Ell") takes her visitors through unique and challenging
sexual adventures, never content to simply rehash old content or
direct attention to the typical porn pastures. You'll certainly be
entertained by the proceedings, but the depth of her musings
and honesty of her intimate dwellings are what will keep you
