Synopsis: A
fledgling site, launched in January 2005, dedicated to providing quality
reviews of all things sexual.
Our Review:
For a new
site, Bleu Review is already well on the way to becoming a great
consumer guide for those interested in exploring sexuality. The
debut article is a fascinating read, full of information on the
materials used to make toys, starting off the site's run with a
smart and well researched bang.
Categorized well, the
site's reviews are easily navigated. One can read the first few
sentences of each review before clicking on it to read the full
page, and pictures of the positively reviewed toys are at the
right of each menu page. As the site grows, I'm not sure they'll
keep that style but for now with the limited number of reviews,
it's handy.
So far, the only downside I can
really see to this site is the not-so-diverse group of reviewers. Although
each reviewer does have his or her own specialty, most often it is deep in
the realm of fetish or kink. This is not a bad thing in and of itself, but
when I read that the staff was a "diverse bunch of perverts" I expected to
find at least one reviewer that catered to more basic, 'vanilla' tastes.
All in all, this site has great
potential to become a well respected consumer guide for sex related items.
In no time at all, I expect we'll start seeing more and more quality stuff
coming 'out of the bleu.' |
