Synopsis: A

Our Review: If
you like your porn edgy, explicit, and natural, this title has you
in mind. Featuring a group of performers we've never seen before,
creative use of camera angles and styles, and a huge dash of humor
thrown in for good measure, "Psychocandy" puts a unique face on
what's become our most difficult job - finding porn we can sit
through for more than 30 seconds without hitting the DVD chapter
skip.
And though we
don't usually quote a production company's propaganda, we decided
to make an exception here:

Productions brings you the sexiest girls from the nocturnal side
of Los Angeles. Our first series, Psychocandy, is a brilliant
introduction to our sexual revolution. Our video stars a
combination of the adult industry's hottest young up and coming
actresses, mixed with beautiful, never before seen amateurs. We
have captured these girls in the most amazing sex scenes with wild
fucking and real cum soaked female orgasms. This will give you a
peek into the private life of the girl next door, assuming that
you live next door to a house full of gorgeous punk rock nymphos.
Eye popping visuals, decadent costumes, and a throbbing beat in
tune with the pulse of the today's sexual underground.
And while we might take issue with their claim of "eye popping
visuals" and "decadent costumes," the title does showcase a
segment of porn we don't normally come across in our travels
through the adult video universe - namely the "punk rock nymphos"
genre Pirate Booty Productions seems intent on pioneering. We have
to hand it to them; their first offering is as provocative and
original as we've seen in the last few years. And we've seen quite
a bit. It may not be to everyone's tastes, but you certainly won't
find any surgically enhanced Barbie or Ken dolls in this feature.
Newcomers to porn would be advised to log LOTS of adult film
watching minutes before embarking on this one.
Instead, you will
find four ladies who are as gothic and dark as Elvira on Halloween
night, but with WAY more piercings and tattoos (oh yeah, they also
fuck on camera). The soundtrack takes takes an equally alternative
direction, ranging from the hard driving techno introduction to
oddball synthesized background music to dark ambient to jungle
rhythms to who knows what the heck else. This was definitely one
of the high points of this title and we applaud whomever managed
to mix the music. Top notch. The male performers are the slightly
pudgy (and magenta haired) Benny Profane and a Mohawk sporting J.
Daggers. If this all sounds strange, it's because it IS (at least
to us).
But, since
"strange" is not necessarily a bad thing, we let the film's sexual
content dictate our final impressions, which are positive in the
extreme. The performers give great and convincing performances,
the quality of the footage is first rate, and the music (as
interesting as I've mentioned previously) matches very well to the
action. Who ever thought we could be turned on by gothic porn?
Scene one stars a
blond wig wearing Desire Moore, paired with a pirate costume
wearing Benny Profane, as they get it on in a variety of positions
over a chase lounge, followed by scene two with Profane taking on
Lilianne after she masturbates with her "Hello Kitty" pocket vibe.
And though both scenes are sufficiently nasty and hot, they are
but warmups for the two best scenes in the entire production.
The first is J. Daggers taking on Violet Skye in their very first
on-screen sex scene, followed by our favorite female of the bunch
- Zoe Matthews - taking on Benny Profane in what is actually a
quite tender love scene. Plenty of kissing and foreplay gave us
the impression that these two might have an off camera
relationship. Though Mr. Profane wasn't exactly the most pleasant
thing to look at, the sex between he and Zoe more than compensated
for his lack of good looks.
The movie ends
with some nice snippets from the production, as well as some
scenes we assume will be featured in their next offering. Don't
look for any DVD extras - there aren't any - but we don't penalize
them for this omission as we rarely explore the extras on ANY
adult titles we watch.
In summary, we
found a lot to like in "Psychocandy." It's different, funky, fun,
and simultaneously hot. The amateur porn lovers out there will
find lots to like, while adventurous couples looking for something
original are definitely in for a treat. Though not for everyone,
we found this video a great first effort from Pirate Booty
Productions and can't wait for the next!
