Synopsis: A
series of sexy vignettes set in Latin America.
Our Review: After
a long hiatus from watching adult films (due to their tedious and
predictable parade of fake breasts and ugly guys), we have
suddenly hit a period of unprecedented good fortune. Not only were
we treated to another scrumptious feasting of sexual deliciousness
from Tony Comstock and his
Xana and Dax, but
we were also surprised to find two more excellent DVD's, this one
being tops among all of them.
Anyone familiar
with the works of Candida Royale would already know this former
porn-star-turned-director can really deliver high quality viewing,
as witnessed by films such as
Christine's Secret
and The Bridal Shower.
However, what makes them so good has also been what's most
disappointing to us; that is, the lack of actual penetration shots
and sometimes painfully slow pacing of the sexual action. This
makes Candida Royale films especially appealing to newbies and
women, who are ,in fact, their target market). In this title, she
finally gives us the WHOLE show, with unbelievable results. This
title is so good, in fact, that we have now put it at the very top
of our favorites list and
continually return to it for repeated viewings. It's still
a far cry from the extreme levels of explicit scenes found in
titles from larger companies, but Caribbean Heat still manages to
pack a great deal of sexiness into its 84 minutes.
The title
contains 6 scenes, each featuring performers we've never seen
anywhere before in any porn films. Since the action takes place
somewhere in Central America, we assume they recruited local
talent, who are Latin and vary from stunningly gorgeous (in the
first two sequences) to pleasingly plump (as in the last two
parts). All in all, the cast and locations are top-notch and the
production values are as good as it gets in adult.
As for the
stories and action, Caribbean Heat starts off with a very handsome
couple, who take a boat to a secluded island somewhere off shore.
Along the way, the male proposes to his lovely lady, who
ecstatically accepts his ring and they embrace tenderly. The
genuine emotions flowing from them actually had us believing they
might actually be a real couple, especially when the action moves
to the shore of their island destination, where they dance naked
on the sands before engaging in passionate sex as realistically as
you'll ever see captured on video. This scene registered
particularly strong with us as we've had similar experiences in
Hawaii, with the exact same results. Fantastic.
From there, we
are taken to the city streets, where a young lover follows a
female tourist into an internet cafe for some steamy online chat,
which leads to an encounter in a "love hotel" somewhere nearby. As
in the first story, the action unfolds slowly and builds from the
keyboard to the bath tub to the hotel bed, where the female gently
places a condom onto her suitor - a nice touch that we've yet to
see in ANY of the hundreds of titles we've previously viewed - and
the action builds to an unseen, but obvious climax.
The movie rounds
out with an interior decorator finding her way into the arms of
her sweaty security guard, two young lovers who dabble in BDSM,
and finally a pair of couples who discover each other on a
secluded beach. And though we definitely liked the first three
scenes best (and were ripping into each other hungrily by then),
the rest of Caribbean Heat plays confidently to its conclusion,
never deviating from the emphasis on story and build up.
In summation, we
had some amazing sex after viewing this title! Its production
values, editing, locations, and even its music make it one of the
best adult films we've ever seen. Suitable for newbie couples and
a refreshing change for porn vets like ourselves, we highly
recommend Caribbean Heat to any and all couples.
