Synopsis: A woman named Christine checks into a country inn, where
she is seduced (presumably) by the lush surroundings and mysterious
caretaker in the worker quarters.
Our Review: We'd
heard for years that the way to initiate most women to porn is to
start with titles from the Candida Royalle collection. Directed by
a woman (or women), these films are specifically targeted at a
female audience and feature soft lighting, natural settings, and
tender loving sex scenes without cum shots. Categorically, we put
these films between the soft core of, say, Playboy, and the plot
driven (though explicitly hardcore) films of Vivid and Wicked.
You'll find no anal sex, group sex, or otherwise objectionable
action (at least in the ones we've seen) and the performers are,
for the most part, unrecognizable and there's nary a fake breast
in site. So, if you're in the unenviable position of having to
introduce adult films to a partner who strongly objects to such
material, this is definitely the safest path.
However, for the
down-and-dirty porn watching veterans like Eddy and I, these
titles elicited a huge "ho hum" as we barely trudged our way
through the first, titled "Christine's Secret." This movie follows
the main character, Christine, as she checks into a bed and
breakfast in the country, where she rekindles and acts on her
desires for the hired help - in this case being the caretaker
living in the servant's quarters a stone's throw from the main
house. She's first greeted by the B&B's owners, who excuse
themselves to frolic in a decent scene downstairs, with some oral
followed by a missionary climax (as mentioned, you don't see the
actual climax).
Blond haired
Christine then fantasizes about the caretaker and masturbates,
while cutting to him doing the same, followed by two scenes of the
owners' buxom daughter literally rolling in the hay with her lover
and a married couple honeymooning on the property (and doing what
honeymooners do best, we suppose). At last, Christine can't
contain her "secret" any longer and rushes across the lawn to
greet her lover and they share their passion to end the film.
Alas, this title
lost us after the masturbation scene and we experienced a rarity
in that we were not turned on after the closing credits (we threw
on "The
Fashionistas" and put things right). However, while this one
failed to generate any heat on our parts, we can truthfully say
that it's an appropriate title to introduce adult entertainment
into a relationship. This title is great for novices.
